The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-VEGFR2/CD309 antibody is suitable to detect VEGFR2/CD309 in samples from Human, Mouse and Rat. It has been validated for IHC and IF.
The Antibody detects endogenous level of VEGFR2 only when phosphorylated at tyrosine 1175.
Purification
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography usingepitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removedby chromatogramphy using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.
Immunogen
Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pTyr1175 (K-D-Y (p) -I-V) derived from Human VEGFR2. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.

Background
Receptor for VEGF or VEGFC. Has a tyrosine-protein kinase activity. The VEGF-kinase ligand/receptor signaling system plays a key role in vascular development and regulation of vascular permeability. In case of HIV-1 infection, the interaction with extracellular viral Tat protein seems to enhance angiogenesis in Kaposi's sarcoma lesions
