  • Application Notes
Peptide ELISA: Detection limit dilution 1: 128000. Western blot: 0.1-0.3 μg/mL. Approx 45 kDa band observed in lysates of cell line HeLa andJurkat lysate (calculated MW of 45.5 kDa according to NP_003591.2). In transfected HEK293transiently expressing AURKA a band of approx.45 kDa is observed. This band is notobserved in the non-transfected HEK293.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

    Background
Aurora A plays a role in cell cycle regulation during anaphase and/or telophase, in relation to the function of the centrosome/spindle pole region during chromosome segregation. Aurora A plays a key role during tumor development and progression and is overexpressed in many human cancers including breast, ovarian and colorectal. Aurora A is viewed as a potential target for anticancer drug treatment.Synonyms: AIK1, ARK1, AURA, AURKA, AURORA2, Aurora/IPL1-related kinase 1, BTAK, Breast tumor-amplified kinase, STK15, STK6, Serine/threonine kinase 15, Serine/threonine-protein kinase 6
