    AA 203-219

    Specificity

Recognizes Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 (GSK3). Due to extremely high conservation among the known enzymes of many different species, should cross-react with nearly all species homologues. Species cross-reactivity: Mouse, rat, S. pombe, Dictyostelium and human.

    Predicted Reactivity

Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Drosophila, Mosquito (100%) Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Elephant, Bat, Bovine, Horse, Rabbit, Opossum, Turkey, Chicken, Platypus, Xenopus, Stickleback, Pufferfish, Zebrafish (88%).

    Purification

    Protein G purified

    Immunogen

Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa203-219 (18aa, C-KQLLHGEPNVSYICSRY) derived from a region of the catalytic domain (between subdomain VII and VIII) of the Drosophila GSK-3/ shaggy enzyme (ovalbumin coupled). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Drosophila, Mosquito (100%), Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Elephant, Bat, Bovine, Horse, Rabbit, Opossum, Turkey, Chicken, Platypus, Xenopus, Stickleback, Pufferfish, Zebrafish (88%).

    Type of Immunogen: Synthetic peptide

    Isotype

    IgG1
  • Application Notes

    Approved: ICC (10 μg/mL), WB (0.5 - 2 μg/mL)

Usage: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) goat anti-mouse and a chemiluminescence detection system. Immunocytochemistry: 10 μg/mL. Demonstrated positive immunostaining for GSK3 in L6 cells fixed with acetone. Positive control: J9000: Jurkat Cell.
