The purinergic receptor P2Y5 (P2RY5) is a member of the Purinergic Receptor subfamily. Membrane-bound P2 receptors mediate the actions of extracellular nucleotides in cell-to-cell signaling. P2Y5 expression has been documented in dendritic cells, monocyte-derived dendritic cells, and macrophages. ESTs have been isolated from embryo, heart/melanocyte/uterus, kidney, liver/spleen, lung, pancreas, placenta, uterus, and vessel libraries.Synonyms: LPA receptor 6, LPA-6, Lysophosphatidic acid receptor 6, Oleoyl-L-alpha-lysophosphatidic acid receptor, P2Y purinoceptor 5, P2Y5, Purinergic receptor 5, RB intron encoded G-protein coupled receptor
