    Purpose
MEK-1/2 is a protein encoded by the MAP2K1 gene which is approximately 43,4 kDa. MEK-1/2 is localised to the cytoplasm and nucleus. It is involved in RET signalling, activated TLR4 signalling, the IL-2 pathway, regulation of lipid metabolism and insulin signalling-generic cascades. It acts as an integration point for multiple biochemical signals such as proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation and development. It is also a dual-specificity kinase known for its involvement in the ERK pathway by activation of ERK1 and ERK2. MEK-1/2 is widely expressed with low levels in the brain. Mutations in the MAP2K1 gene may result in Cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome. STJ90327 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This primary antibody specifically binds to endogenous MEK-1/2 protein which only binds about S218/222 when S218/222 is phosphorylated.
    Specificity
Phospho-MEK-1/2 (S218/222) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of MEK-1/2 protein only when phosphorylated at S218/222.
    Characteristics
    Rabbit polyclonal to Phospho-MEK-1/2 (S218/222).
    Purification
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
    Immunogen
Synthesized peptide derived from human MEK-1/2 around the phosphorylation site of S218/222.
    Isotype
    IgG
