Specificity
- Specific for the NMDA receptor-2B isoform and exhibits no cross-reactivity with other receptor subtypes. Reacts with the NMDA receptor-2B from rat. Reactivity has been confirmed in Western blots using lysates from rat brain and by immunocytochemical staining of rat brain tissue. Reactivity with other species has not been tested. However, the amino acid sequences of rat, human and mouse NMDAR2B proteins are highly similar over the region of protein used to prepare this antibody.
