- Background
- LCavB1 (Voltage-Dependent Calcium Channel Beta Subunit) contains the region 1 of high conservation among beta subunits, Src homology 3 domains. SH3 domains bind to proline-rich ligands with moderate affinity and selectivity, preferentially to PxxP motifs, they play a role in the regulation of enzymes by intramolecular interactions and changing the subcellular localization. LCavB1 contains the region 2 of high conservation among beta subunits, beta subunit interaction domain (BID) as well as Dihydropyridine sensitive L-type calcium channel(Beta subunit) which is conserved region among calcium channel beta subunits and Guanylate kinase homologues, a region is similar to guanylate kinase
