    Background
OLFM1, also known as noelin, shares extensive sequence similarity with the rat neuronal olfactomedin-related ER localized protein. It seems to play an important role in regulating the production of neural crest cells by the neural tube. Recombinant human OLFM1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
