- Background
- CNN2 protein, which can bind actin, calmodulin, troponin C, and tropomyosin, may function in the structural organization of actin filaments. This protein could play a role in smooth muscle contraction and cell adhesion. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Recombinant human CNN2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
