- Background
- UBLCP1 also known as ubiquitin-like domain-containing CTD phosphatase 1. This protein dephosphorylates 26S nuclear proteasomes, thereby decreasing their proteolytic activity. The dephosphorylation may prevent assembly of the core and regulatory particles (CP and RP) into mature 26S proteasome. Recombinant human UBLCP1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
