- This IL-6 Receptor protein is labelled with Fc Tag.
- Purpose
- IL-6R (human):Fc (human) (rec.)
- Specificity
- The extracellular domain of human IL-6R (aa 20-359) is fused to the N-terminus of the Fc region of human IgG1.
- Characteristics
- Protein. The extracellular domain of human IL-6R (aa 20-359) is fused to the N-terminus of the Fc region of human IgG1. Source: CHO cells. Endotoxin content: <0.06EU/μg protein (LAL test, Lonza). Lyophilized from 0.2μm-filtered solution in PBS. Purity: >98 % (SDS-PAGE). Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a multifunctional factor, which exerts its activities through binding to a highaffinity receptor complex consisting of two membrane glycoproteins: an 80 kDa component receptor that binds IL-6 with low affinity (IL-6Ralpha) and a signal transducing component of 130 kDa (gp130) that does not bind IL-6 by itself, but is required for highaffinity binding of IL-6 by the complex. A soluble form of the IL-6Ralpha has been found in the urine of healthy adult humans.
