- Background
- CETN2, also called caltractin, belongs to a family of calcium-binding proteins and is a structural component of the centrosome. This protein plays a role in nucleotide excision repair via association with xeroderma pigmentosum group C protein, suggesting possible coupling of cell division and nucleotide excision repair. Recombinant human CETN2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography. Synonyms: Caltractin , CALT, CEN2, Centrin-2.
