Format: Lyophilized

Reconstitution: Centrifuge the tube before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/mL is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.

Buffer: Lyophilized from 0.22μm filtered solution in PBS ( pH 7.4). Normally 8 % trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.

Storage: -20 °C,-80 °C

Background: Complement factor D is a serine protease essential for the activation of the alternative pathway and is expressed in the kidney, adipocytes, and macrophages. Factor D is found at relatively high levels in glomeruli suggesting that this component of the complement cascade could influence renal pathophysiology.Complement factor D or alternative pathway activation is needed to prevent spontaneous accumulation of C3 and IgM deposits within the mesangium.

Molecular Weight: 25.5 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 26-27 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result.
