    Purpose
Human ESYT1 full length protein-synthetic nanodisc
    Characteristics
Full Length Transmembrane Proteins (synthetic Nanodisc)
  • Application Notes
    • Applications for VLPs:
    • ELISA
    • SPR affinity analysis
    • Phage display screening
    • Immunization
    • Cell based assays
    • CAR-T cell screening

    Comment

Synthetic Nanodisc can be prepared directly from the cells. The polymers used during this process have a dual function. It dissolves the cell membranes, like the detergent, and uses cellular phospholipids to form Nanodisc around the membrane proteins. The target protein embedded Nanodiscs can then be purified.

    Background
    FAM62A, MBC2
Description: Binds glycerophospholipids in a barrel-like domain and may play a role in cellular lipid transport (By similarity). Binds calcium (via the C2 domains) and translocates to sites of contact between the endoplasmic reticulum and the cell membrane in response to increased cytosolic calcium levels. Helps tether the endoplasmic reticulum to the cell membrane and promotes the formation of appositions between the endoplasmic reticulum and the cell membrane.[UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Function]
    Molecular Weight
The human full length ESYT1 protein has a MW of 122.9 kDa
