  • Application Notes
Antibodies-Online Goat Anti-Rat IgG (H&L) [HRP] is suitable for immunoblotting (Western and Dot blots), ELISA, immunoperoxidase electron microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and other peroxidase-antibody based enzymatic assays requiring lot-to-lot consistency. The investigator must determine the ideal working concentration for each specific application. The ideal working concentration must take into account such factors as secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, sensitivity of the detection method, temperature, and the length of the incubations. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product.ELISA: 1:5,000-1:50,000
    Western blot: 1:1,000-1:5,000Other applications: user-optimized.

    Handling Advice
Small volume of antibody will occasionally become entrapped in the cap of the vial during shipment and storage. Before use, centrifuge the vial briefly to bring down any liquid in the cap.
Use of Sodium Azide will inhibit enzyme activity of horseradish peroxidase.
    Storage
    4 °C/-20 °C
    Storage Comment
The antibody is stable for 2-3 weeks if stored at 2-8 °C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -28 °C or below. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
