- Goat
-
Clonality
- Polyclonal
-
Application
- Immunoelectrophoresis (IEP)
- Specificity
- The antiserum is reacting with the Fab subunits IgG, IgA, IgM and other Ig classes of both light chain type, with their Fab or F(ab')2 subunits and with free light chains of kappa and lambda type.
- Characteristics
-
Precipitating polyclonal goat antiserum to chicken Fab of IgG
Total protein and IgG concentration in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled goat serum. Antibody titre: Precipitin titre not less than 1:64 when tested against normal chicken serum in agar block titration. - Purification
-
Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized stable whole serum
Immunoaffinity adsorbed using insolubilized antigens as required to eliminate antibody activity with other serum protein. The use of insolubilized adsorption antigens prevents the presence of excess adsorbent protein or immune complexes in the antiserum. - Immunogen
- Purified Fab of normal IgG isolated from pooled chicken serum. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
- Isotype
- IgG
-
- Application Notes
- In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and single and double radial immuno-diffusion (Mancini, Ouchterlony) to identify and measure immunoglobulins, as secondary antibody to precipitate the immunoglobulin in normal chicken serum.
- Restrictions
- For Research Use only
-
- Format
- Lyophilized
- Reconstitution
- It is reconstituted by adding 1 mL sterile distilled water.
- Buffer
- No foreign proteins added.
- Preservative
- Without preservative
- Handling Advice
- Working dilutions are prepared by adding sterile phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7. 2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. Working dilutions should be stored at +4 °C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same da y. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the product.
- Storage
- 4 °C/-20 °C
- Storage Comment
- The lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4 °C, prolonged storage at or below -24 °C.
