Immunogen MICA transfected C1R cells. Spleen cells from immunised RBF/DnJ mice were fused withcells of the P3 mouse myeloma cell line.
Clone 6D4
Isotype IgG2a
Characteristics Synonyms: MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence A, MIC-A, PERB11.1
Purification Affinity chromatography on Protein G
Endotoxin Level Low Endotoxin
Alternative Name MICA
Background MICA and MICB are stress inducible antigens, which are closely related and appearfunctionally indistinguishable. MICA and MICB are ligands for NKG2D, an activatingreceptor on most natural killer (NK) cells, CD8 T cells and gamma delta T cells. MICA is principally expressed on intestinal epithelium, and several epithelial tumours. Expression may be induced to high surface levels by heat shock, oxidative stress, andvirus infection. Clone 6D4 is reported to inhibit the cytotoxicity of NK cells stimulated byIFN alpha-treated dendritic cells.
Gene ID 4276
UniProt Q29983
Research Area Immunology, Innate Immunity, Adaptive Immunity
Application Notes Immunoprecipitation. Functional Assays. Flow Cytometry: Use 10l of the suggested working dilution to label 1x10e6 cells in 100l. Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections: 1/100. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
