Immunogen KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the C-terminal region of human PTK2
Specificity This antibody reacts to PTK2.
Purification Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation
Alternative Name FAK1 / PTK2
Background PTK2 is a cytoplasmic protein tyrosine kinase which is found concentrated in the focal adhesions that form between cells growing in the presence of extracellular matrix constituents. This protein is a member of the FAK subfamily of protein tyrosine kinases but lacks significant sequence similarity to kinases from other subfamilies.
Alternate names: FADK1, FAK, Focal adhesion kinase 1, Protein-tyrosine kinase 2, pp125FAK
Gene ID 5747
NCBI Accession NP_005598
UniProt Q05397
Application Notes ELISA: 1/1,000. Western blotting: 1/50 - 1/100. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
