Product Details anti-MAP2K5 Antibody

Target Details MAP2K5 Application Details Handling Images
Specificity Recognizes human, mouse, rat, dog, monkey, rabbit, sheep and Xenopus MEK5. Detects a band of ~42 kDa by Western blot.
Characteristics MEK is a dual specificity kinase capable of phosphorylating both tyrosine and threonine residues. The MEK family, which is also known as MAP kinase kinase, phosphorylates MAP kinases on the conserved T-X-Y motif, phosphorylation of MAPK by MEK results in an increase in MAPK activity. MEK is involved in a diverse array of cellular processes such as stress-activated response, apoptosis, cytokine-induced cell proliferation, and DNA recombination during meiosis
Purification Peptide affinity purified.
Immunogen Synthetic peptide corresponding to a portion of human MEK5. The sequence is completely conserved in rat.

Buffer In PBS, pH 7.2, containing 0.09 % sodium azide.
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
