Application Notes
ELISA: To detect hFGF-acidic by direct ELISA (using 100 l/well antibody solution) thisantibody can be used at a concentration of 0.15 - 0.30 μg/mL. Used in conjunction withcompatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 ng/well of recombinanthFGF-acidic. Western Blot: To detect hFGF-acidic by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at aconcentration of 0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagentsthe detection limit for recombinant hFGF-acidic is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing ornon-reducing conditions. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

The heparin-binding growth factors are angiogenic agents in vivo and are potent mitogens for a variety of cell types in vitro. There are differences in the tissue distribution and concentration of these two growth factors.Synonyms: Acidic fibroblast growth factor, Beta-endothelial cell growth factor, ECGF-beta, FGFA, HBGF-1, HBGF1, Heparin-binding growth factor 1
