FGF17
Reactivity: Human
Host: Rabbit
Polyclonal
FITC
Application Notes
Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity ofHuman FGF-17 (200.0 ng/mL), a concentration of 2.1-3.2 μg/mL of this antibody is required. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human FGF-17 by Sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibodysolution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinitypurified antibody, in conjunction with Biotinylated anti-Human FGF-17 (PP1130B1 orPP1130B2) as Detection antibody, allows the detection of 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinantHuman FGF-17. Western Blot: To detect Human FGF-17 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be usedat a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondaryreagents the detection limit for recombinant Human FGF-17 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under eitherreducing or non-reducing conditions. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

FGF17 belongs to the heparin-binding growth factors family. It may be a signaling molecule in the induction and patterning of the embryonic brain and is preferentially expressed in the embryonic brain. There are two named isoforms.Synonyms: FGF-17, Fibroblast growth factor 17
