Direct ELISA: To detect Human ApoE3 by Direct ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution)a concentration of approx. 1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This Biotinylated polyclonalantibody allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant Human ApoE3. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human ApoE3 by Sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well) aconcentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This Biotinylated antibody, inconjunction with Affinity purified anti-Human ApoE3 (ABIN181667 or ABIN181668) as acapture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant HumanApoE3. Western blot: To detect Human ApoE3 this antibody can be used at a concentration of0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limitfor recombinant Human ApoE3 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducingconditions. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Apolipoprotein E3 mediates the binding, internalization, and catabolism of lipoprotein particles. It can serve as a ligand for the LDL (apo B/E) receptor and for the specific apo E receptor (chylomicron remnant) of hepatic tissues.Synonyms: Apo-E, ApoE
