    AA 62-76

    Specificity

Recognizes phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated human, rat and mouse ras. Does not cross-react with the rap protein. Neutralizes the biological and biochemical activities by binding to residues E63, S65, A66, M67, Q70 and R73. Positive Controls: SW480 or Y1 cells (IF and IP), normal skin (IHC, frozen and paraffin), A431, Hela or ML-1 cells (WB).

    Purification

    Purified

    Immunogen

Recombinant p21 ras protein. Epitope: aa62-76 of human ras.

    Type of Immunogen: Recombinant protein

    Isotype

    IgG1 kappa
  • Application Notes

    Approved: IF (2.5 μg/mL), IHC, IHC-Fr, IHC-P, IP, Neut, WB (2.5 μg/mL)

Usage: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Neutralization. Immunofluorescence: 2.5 μg/mL. Western Blot (chemiluminescence detection): 2.5 μg/mL. Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 5 μg/mL. Immunohistochemistry: 1-5 μg/mL. Staining of formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissue requires pepsin pretreatment. Use saponin to permeablize. Immunoprecipitation (autoradiographic detection): 1 μg/sample SW480 or Y1 cells. Use rabbit anti-rat IgG plus Protein A or goat anti-rat IgG plus Protein G. Protein A alone will not immunoprecipitate rat IgG. Doublets corresponding to farnesylated- and non-farnesylated ras may be observed. Detects both phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated human ras as well as the p21 translational products of the H-, K- and N-ras human genes.
