Purification: HTR1A antibody was purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.

Immunogen: HTR1A antibody was raised against a 14 amino acid synthetic peptide near the internal region of HTR1A (aa 249-262).

Application Details

Application Notes: ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1:16000. Western Blot: Approximately 37 kDa and 35 kDa in human brain (hippocampus, Substantia nigra) lysates after 0.1 μg/mL antibody staining. Both detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain the additional bands).
