Specificity: Detects the 62kD c-myc gene product, which is involved in the regulation of the cell cycle and cell growth. p62c-myc is primarily located to the cell nucleus, but has also been shown to localized to the cytoplasm in several cell lines. Overexpression of c-myc has been reported in a wide variety of human cancers. May also be used to detect the commonly used c-myc tag.

Usage: Immunohistochemistry: This product does not require protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections prior to staining This product does not require antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Western Blot: LS-C57629 detects a band of approximately 62kD in Colo 320HSR cell lysates. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.
