This antibody detects APP pSer730. Predicted to cross react with Mouse (100 % Antigen Homology).
Purification
Protein G Affinity Chromatography. Then, the antibody fraction is peptide affinity purified in a 2-step procedure with control and phosphorylated peptides. The phospho-specific antibody is eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
Immunogen
This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding S730 of human APP.
ELISA: 1/1,000. Western Blot: 1/100-1/500. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

APP is a cell surface receptor and transmembrane precursor protein that is cleaved by secretases to form a number of peptides. Some of these peptides are secreted and can bind to the acetyltransferase complex APBB1/TIP60 to promote transcriptional activation, while others form the protein basis of the amyloid plaques found in the brains of patients with Alzheimer disease. Mutations in this gene have been implicated in autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease and cerebroarterial amyloidosis (cerebral amyloid angiopathy).Synonyms: ABPP, APPI, Alzheimer disease amyloid protein, Amyloid Precursor Protein, CVAP, Cerebral vascular amyloid peptide, PreA4, Protease nexin-II
