Translocates to the lysosome initiating the permeabilization of lysosomal membrane(LMP) and resulting in the release of CTSD and CTSL to the cytoplasm. Triggers the caspase-independent apoptosis by altering mitochondrial membrane permeabilization(MMP) resulting in the release of PDCD8.
