    Purpose
Inhibin beta-A is a protein encoded by the INHBA gene which is approximately 47,4 kDa. Inhibin beta-A is secreted and is involved in the peptide hormone metabolism, signalling by NODAL, PEDF induced signalling, signalling pathways regulating pluripotency of stem cells and TGF-beta signalling pathway. This protein falls under the TGF-beta superfamily. Inhibins beta-A is involved in regulating a number of diverse functions such as hypothalamic and pituitary hormone secretion, gonadal hormone secretion, germ cell development and maturation and also plays a role in eye, tooth and testis development. Inhibin beta-A is expressed in the eyes. Mutations in the INHBA gene may result in ovary adenocarcinoma and myasthenic syndrome. STJ96774 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope specific immunogen. This polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of Inhibin beta-A protein.
