Background
- Background: I kappa-B kinase-alpha (IKK-alpha) is part of the IKK complex composed of two regulatory subunits, IKK-alpha and IKK-beta, and a regulatory subunit, IKK-gamma/NEMO. The IKK complex functions to phosphorylate and inactivate I kappa B, an inhibitor of the NF-kappa B transcription factor.
