Background
- FAK is a protein tyrosine kinase which is found concentrated in the focal adhesions that form between cells growing in the presence of extracellular matrix constituents. This protein may play a role in cell growth and intracellular signal transduction pathways triggered in response to certain neural peptides or to cell interactions with the extracellular matrix. Synonyms: Monoclonal FAK antibody, Anti-FAK antibody, AK1 antibody, focal adhesion kinase antibody, focal adhesion kinase 1 antibody, p125FAK antibody, pp125 FA kinase antibody, pp125fak antibody, protein tyrosine kinase 2 antibody, ptk2 antibody.
