Co-chaperone required for the assembly of iron-sulfur (Fe/S) clusters in mitochondria. Stimulates the ATPase activity of its specialized Hsp70 chaperone partner SSQ1. Binds to the substrate protein ISU1 and targets it to SSQ1.
