- Application Notes
- Biotinylated Cynomolgus IL-2RB&IL-2RA&IL-2RG, Fc,Avitag&Fc,Avitag is produced by co-expression of IL-2RB and IL-2RA and IL-2RG, has a calculated MW of 53.0 kDa (IL-2RB) and 80.0 kDa (IL-2RA&IL-2RG). Subunit IL-2RB is fused with a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus, followed by a Avi tag (Avitag™) and subunit IL-2RA&IL-2RG is fused with a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus, followed by a Avi tag (Avitag™). The reducing (R) protein migrates as 65-70 kDa and kDa respectively due to glycosylation.

Ready-to-use Avitag™ biotinylated protein:
The product is exclusively produced using the Avitag™ technology. Briefly, a unique 15 amino acid peptide, the Avi tag, is introduced into the recombinant protein during expression vector construction. The single lysine residue in the Avi tag is enzymatically biotinylated by the E. Coli biotin ligase BirA.
This single-point enzymatic labeling technique brings many advantages for commonly used binding assays. The biotinylation happens on the lysine residue of Avi tag, and therefore does NOT interfere with the target protein's natural binding activities. In addition, when immobilized on an avidin-coated surface, the protein orientation is uniform because the position of the Avi tag in the protein is precisely controlled. - Restrictions

Synonyms: IL-2 R beta & IL-2 R alpha & IL-2 R gamma,
Description: Both Interleukin-2 receptor subunit beta and Interleukin-2 receptor subunit gamma are receptor for interleukin-2. Common subunit for the receptors for a variety of interleukins. Interacts with SHB upon interleukin stimulation. Probably in association with IL15RA, involved in the stimulation of neutrophil phagocytosis by IL15. This beta subunit is involved in receptor mediated endocytosis and transduces the mitogenic signals of IL2. IL2R exists in 3 different forms: a high affinity dimer, an intermediate affinity monomer (beta subunit), and a low affinity monomer (alpha subunit). The high and intermediate affinity forms also associate with a gamma subunit. - Molecular Weight
