    ELISA
    Specificity
The site of connection of C-peptide and C-end of B-chain of proinsulin molecule. MAbs 1D6 and 1D3 react with different epitopes on human proinsulin molecule, both of each are generated by the interactions between insulin and C-peptide parts of prohormone. Kd MAb 3A1 is 1.1 x 10-8 M. Kd MAb 1G4 is 2.6 x 10-7 M. Kd MAb 1D6 and 1D3 is >3 x 10-8 M. Kd MAb 7D6 is >5 x 10-8 M. MAbs 3A1, 1G4, 1D6, 1D3 and 7D6 do not cross-react with human, bovine and porcine insulin, bovine and porcine proinsulin, and human C-peptide.
