    Purpose
Trk C is a protein encoded by the NTRK3 gene which is approximately 94,4 kDa. Trk C is localised to the cell membrane and is involved in apoptotic pathways in synovial fibroblasts, GPCR pathway, ERK signalling and apoptosis pathways. This protein falls under the neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase family. It is a membrane-bound receptor that, upon neurotrophin binding, phosphorylates itself and members of the MAPK pathway. Signalling through this kinase leads to cell differentiation and may play a role in the development of proprioceptive neurons that sense body position. Trk C is widely expressed but mainly in nervous tissue. Isoform 2 is expressed at higher levels in adult brain. Mutations in the NTRK3 gene are associated with susceptibility to congenital heart defects and differentiated thyroid carcinoma. STJ90960 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This primary antibody specifically binds to endogenous Trk C protein which only binds about Y516 when Y516 is phosphorylated.
    Specificity
Phospho-Trk C (Y516) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of Trk C protein only when phosphorylated at Y516.
    Characteristics
    Rabbit polyclonal to Phospho-Trk C (Y516).
    Purification
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
    Immunogen
Synthesized peptide derived from human Trk C around the phosphorylation site of Y516.
