- Characteristics
- Retinoic acid receptors (RAR) are nuclear receptors that are activated by both all-trans retinoic acid and 9-cis retinoic acid. There are three retinoic acid receptors (RAR), RAR-a, RAR-b and RAR-g. RAR-a (Nuclear receptor subfamily 1 group B member 1, NR1B1) interacts with NCoA3, NCoA6, NCoA7 and MLL to activate transcription of target genes. Chromosomal aberrations of RAR-a are sometimes involved in Promyelocytic leukemia. RAR-alpha antibody (mAb) (Clone 9a-9A6) was raised in a Mouse host. It has been validated for use in Immunohistochemistry, Supershift and Western blot, it has been shown to react with Human and Mouse samples.
