- Background
- HSPC159, also designated galectin-related protein (GRP), is a 172 amino acid protein that contains one galectin domain. This protein does not appear to bind carbohydrates or lactose because the critical residues required for binding are not conserved. Recombinant human HSPC159 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Synonyms: Galectin-related protein, GRP, MGC33751, MGC71953. NCBI no.: NP_054900
