True to the motto "By scientists for scientists", the
“3rd Heidelberg Forum for Young Life Scientists 2013”
will take place in Heidelberg, Germany on June 6th and 7th 2013. The forum is an international, inter-institutional and interdisciplinary symposium organized by a group of PhD students from seven research institutes in Heidelberg, as the German Cancer Research Center (DZKF), Heidelberg University Biochemistry Center (BZH), the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), the Max-Planck-Institute for Medical Research (MPI), the Hartmut Hoffmann-Berling International Graduate School of Molekular and Cellular Biology (HBIGS) and the Center for Molecular Biology Heidelberg (ZMBH).
The program will focus on four main aspects of novel biomedical and biological research topics, namely Biotechnology, OMICS, Infections and Immunity, as well as Stem Cell Biology. Besides lectures given by prominent keynote speakers and young group leaders, the conference will provide PhD students with the chance to give oral and poster presentations. Furthermore, the program will include a number of workshops presenting cutting-edge research tools. In addition, get-together-events will provide an opportunity to further communicate with the speakers and build social and / or professional networks with other participants.
