Independent Validation

Two more antibodies successfully validated for Western blotting

Independent Validation

Two more antibodies for the detection of different antigens were successfully tested in Western Blot experiments. The antibodies-online antibody for the detection of beta Catenin was tested with MCF-7 cells and SK-BR-3 cells. In MCF-7 cells a clear band was visible in the correct size of beta Catenin.

Furthermore, the antibodies-online antibody ABIN98862 for the detection of human EGFR was validated in combination with MCF-7 and A549 cells. The presence of EGFR could be clearly seen in A549 cell lysates.

Independent Validation
In mid 2013 the "Independent Validation Initiative" started as a partnership between Science Exchange and antibodies-online.com. The project aims to enable scientists to select products (presently antibodies or ELISA kits) of their interest to be validated by labs from top academic research institutes.

Since we started the initiative we have successfully validated 93 products. The first was a anti-Fibrinogen antibody, followed by a couple of other interesting antibodies and ELISA kits. The latest succesfully validated products were the antibodies for the detection of beta Catenin, and EGFR. A few more products are currentlly being validated.

If you are interested in having a product validated, you can simply click the "Request validation" button on the product site. When requesting a validation you can specify the application the product should be validated for. Validation is free for all customers and costs will be covered by the respective supplier.
