New tools for studying stem-cell development and differentiation from HemoGenix®

antibodies-online is pleased to announce our recent partnership with Colorado Springs based assay and reagent manufacturer HemoGenix® . HemoGenix® assays offer an unprecedented level of flexibility and function to researchers that need to assay stem-cell and primitive-cell development. The HemoGenix® product line at antibodies-online includes several unique products for assaying viability, proliferation, differentiation, and metabolism in various cell populations.

HemoGenix® CAMEO-96 CFU kits are the only commercially available assays that permit simultaneous comparison of both cell proliferation and differentiation. HemoFLUOR-96 assays replace traditional time-consuming colony-counting CFC techniques, utilizing a fluorescence based detection method for determination of cell viability and proliferation. The HemoFLUOR-96 assay can also be multiplexed with FACS analysis or bioluminescent assay techniques to provide a more robust analysis of hematopoietic stem cell populations.

antibodies-online also offers HemoGenix® HepatoGLO and NeuroGLO assay kits. These assays use bioluminescence to quantify intracellular ATP concentration for accurate measurement of cellular metabolism and cytotoxicity. HemoGenix® was founded in 2000 by Dr. Ivan N. Rich, a world renowned researcher in the field of developmental hematology. HemoGenix® initially focused on high-throughput investigation of new drug candidates that targeted components in hematopoietic development pathways. The young company quickly realized that the assays they had developed in-house had significant research potential. They now offer a broad array simple-to-use kits and reagents for assaying nascent cell development, differentiation, and proliferation.
