Highly specific antibody for research on food-allergies against egg-preotein ovalbumin
Area: Allergy
Ovalbumin (chicken albumin) is an egg white protein which represents more than 50 % of egg white total proteins. Ovalbumin is a major allergen, and is frequently found in food products. Therefore anti-ovalbumin antibodies can be used in the allergy research field. This »anti-ovalbumin antibody is highly specific and has less than one percent cross-reactivity to other albumin forms.
Magnetic beads coupled antibodies for depletion of unwanted plasma proteins
Area: Blood Components
The research in the human plasmatic proteins field expands very rapidly. The technical challenge to analyze this proteome stems from the large quantity of plasmatic proteins. Some proteins are highly abundant, such as Human Serum Albumin (HSA), and prevent the detection of rare proteins. The depletion of HSA, by an anti-HSA antibodies, allows the detection of such rare proteins which could be medicinal targets or biological markers. This »anti-HSA antibody may be coupled to magnetic beads to be used in blood research for the depletion of HSA by applying magnetism.
Procollagen 1 Carboxyterminal Peptide (P1CP) ELISA kit readily available
Area: Extracellular Matrix
Procollagen 1 Carboxyterminal Peptide (P1CP) is the precursor of collagen, synthesized in osteoblasts and fibroblasts and subsequently converted to form collagen by procollagen peptidase. Many diseases are associated with an increase in the amount of collagen synthesized, i.e. an increase in the rate of bone matrix formation and turnover. On antibodies-online you may find a rat-specific ELISA kit for the detection of P1CP for research on osteoblasts, fibroblasts and other connective tissues.
Convenient Agro-Bio kits for antibody isolation and protein digestion
On antibodies-online you will find Agro-Bio kits, like for example EggsPure, for the purification of IgY from eggs. Additionally, you may find trypsin that has been immobilized on magnetic beads (EnzyBeads), that allows the digest of proteins, and subsequently an easy removal-step of the trypsin simply using a magnet.
New: More than 150 ELISA kits added
Application: ELISA
Recently we have added more than 150 ELISA kits from Wuhan Boster Biological Technology to our product portfolio. The kits allow 96 tests per plate and are well tested and documented, including information about sensitivity, cross-reactivity and application background.
IRDye800 conjugated secondary antibodies
Area: Secondary Antibodies
IRDye800 conjugated antibodies are specifically designed for protein detection methods that use near-infrared (IR) fluorophores to visualize proteins in western blotting and other applications, like for example immunofluorescence microscopy with excitation/emission filters in the 780nm/820nm range. Very low background fluorescence in the IR range provides for a much higher signal-to-noise ratio than visible fluorophores. Western blot detection levels for instance are in the picogram range. Some examples for secondary antibodies conjugated with IRDye800 are goat anti-chicken IgG, donkey anti-goat IgG, and rabbit anti-goat antibodies, as well as many more available on antibodies-online in the secondary antibodies section.

Western Blotting: Popular loading control antibodies
Area: Western Blotting (WB)
Loading controls, often called “housekeeping genes”, are being used for proper interpretation of western blots. They are used to normalize the levels of protein detected by confirming that protein loading is the same in all lanes of the gel. Of importance are constant expression levels that remain unaltered under various conditions, so that expression levels of the loading control do not vary between the different sample lanes.

Alzheimer's research: Estrogen stimulates degradation of beta-amyloid peptide
Area: Neurology, Neurotransmitters
One of the hallmarks of Alzheimer's disease is the self-aggregation of the amyloid beta peptide (beta-amyloid) in extracellular amyloid fibrils. The hypothesis, that amyloid plaques are responsible for the pathology of Alzheimer's disease, is supported by much evidence; however, it has not been proven conclusively. Therefore it is of great interest to establish the precise roles of beta-amyloid. A recent report in the Journal of Biological Chemistry shows, that estrogen stimulates the degradation of beta-amyloid. The beta-amyloid ELISA kit utilized in this study can be purchase from antibodies-online.com
Photosynthesis: The role of LHCII Type I Chlorophyll A/B-Binding Protein
Area: Plant/Algal Physiology
