The nuclear localisation of YB-1 is associated with a poor survival rate. In addition a correlation between nuclear YB-1 and the abscence of progesterone receptor expression was uncovered. This correlation could indicate that the nuclear localisation of YB-1 is characteristic for a specific breast cancer subtype.
